A Call Home to Mothers
Proverbs 31:27-28
"She looks well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her."
I am sure most people have heard the phrase "A Call to Arms".Well, this is a call to the home. I believe God is calling mothers back to the home. First of all let me say that this call is not for everyone. But, if you are tired of being pulled by the dictates of this world system and want to have what the Kingdom of God offers, this call may be for you. People have become so tied up in this world's system that they are totally unaware that God has a way of doing things called the Kingdom. The home is the hardest assignment a mother will have. Unlike the workplace, she will not likely be compensated monetarily for her work. It is very unlikely that she will be recognized for her achievements by people. (Hebrews 6:10) The work in the home can be physically exhausting knowing that what she does must be repeated every week. But, the work in the home is totally up to her. If she is not motivated to run an excellent household, her household will reflect her effort.
You might say, "My husband and I cannot afford to live on one income". I would say take a look around you at the condition of our society and weigh whether or not the extra income is worth the negative affect society will have on your children. Children are lacking in so many areas that no amount of extra money can fix. Tangible things are temporary. A great memory of childhood spent with a parent last forever. You might say, "I am single and have to work outside the home". I would say, yes you have to work, but you can still make your family the priority. Make decisions in your career based on what is best for your family, not what will put more money in your pocket or put you further up the ladder of career success. (Matthew 6:24) I have seen too many people look back over their career decisions and realize that they lost their family in the process of trying to gain success the world's way. Am I saying that this call to home is an easy choice? Of course not. But what you gain in having raised your children yourself and in developing relationships with your children will last far into their adulthood. Childhood does not last forever. If you do a great job now, you will have a great harvest to look forward to later. As long as you are living, you can fulfill your purpose. Don't miss out on the best part of your child's life!

The Fight for the Kingdom of Education
The Fight for the Kingdom of EducationThere is definitely a battle ensuing over the minds of the youth in this country. But the boundaries of this battle are expanding into distant territory. The battle is now reaching into the homes of the children with negative consequences for the whole family. Despite the things that are coming against the family, it is still our responsibility as Kingdom citizens to bring the culture of Heaven into every realm we participate in here on earth. We cannot blame any system we are not willing to change. God has given us dominion in the earth. This dominion certainly covers our households. As parents, we are responsible for making sure our children are properly educated. We are responsible for directing our children in their area of gifting; not for letting the system turn them into carbon copies that are dependant on the system. Let's step up and change the culture!
