About Gena
Gena is the Co-Pastor of Dunamis Life Ministries of Dallas, Texas, a.k.a. The Embassy and helped found the ministry with her husband Dr. J.C. Matthews in 2004. Gena is also the founder of Queens Mentoring and the Queens' Reprieve, a kingdom-minded women's retreat.
She is a gifted writer, teacher and currently oversees Dunamis Life Women's and Prayer ministries. She has written the following books, Submission is Not a Dirty Word: The Blessing in Being Under Authority, Kingdom Living Bible Studies, Woman Beside the Man: Partnering for Your Kingdom Assignment and Kingdom Curriculum for Kids. Her articles and devotionals have been featured on some of the leading Christian internet websites. Co-Pastor Gena is known for her in-depth knowledge of God's Word and desire to empower women through the Word. Gena is the co-host of Dunamis' Kingdom Teaching Television Program "The Embassy" as well as co-hosting its BlogtalkRadio program by the same name.
Co-Pastor Gena also possesses a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology.
She is the mother of four, an avid homeschooler for the past 12 years and lives in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area with her husband J.C.
